This revelation comes by people W floatingWho shared a screenshot (included below) showing two new options in WhatsApp for Android’s profile menu to import profile photos from Facebook and Instagram.
Selecting Facebook or Instagram will allow users to import profile photos from a Facebook/Instagram account linked to WhatsApp. W floating There are reports that this feature is optional and the default is closed, and linking WhatsApp with Meta’s account center to import profile photos directly from Facebook/Instagram will not affect WhatsApp’s privacy defense.
This feature was seen in the beta version 2.25.21.23 of WhatsApp for Android and is currently available to some beta examiners. However, it is not clear when it will be exactly available for all users of the stable version.
