The Trump administration is applying new 25% tariffs on all imports of India, bringing the total recovery to 50%, which currently produces the highest tariff rate in any country. The latest executive orders will be implemented on the 27 August Gust, with the new Level behind the import of Russian oil in India.

This step will take a big shock to the Apple Pal as Cupertino has been transferred to its iPhone manufacturing in India in the past years with a plan to assemble all its US iPhone in the country. Time is especially bad because the Apple Pal is expected to start shipping its iPhone 17 series around their announcement in early September.

New 25% of import tariffs on Indian goods endanger apples

An estimated 14% of all iPhone is made in India, and the number is expected to reach 25% by the end of this year. Apple Pal is moving away from China, following its supply chain diversity, India is moving to establish its leading device as a manufacturing hub.

In the relevant news, Trump also warned of 100% tariffs on all foreign semiconductor imports. US Companies investing in manufacturing facilities will be exempted from levy. Manufacturers of semiconductor derivative products such as smartphones, tablets and laptops will also be exempted if they or if they are in the process of moving manufacturing in the US.
