Vivo will soon enter the mixed reality (MR) headset game-it will show the so-called Vivo Vision Mr. Headset at this year’s Boao forum for Asia. Only a few chosen people have worn the device for now, but they have shared the initial impression.
Vivo Product Manager Hen B Box Qusio commented on a rest level – is very lighter and comfortable to wear a headset. No specific numbers have been shared yet, but the Vivo vision was compared to Apple Pal Airpods max. It’s not exactly light headphones at 386G (Sony WH -1000xm6 254g). Still, Apple Pal Vision Pro is 600G -650g (depending on the light seal and headband configuration), so anything close to the airpods would be best for the MR headset.

CCTV host Zoo Guangkwan also got to try Vivo Vision. He provided fewer details on the headset, but the tri-out session was well photographed, which gives us a good look on the device. You can see a cable out of the headset – this combines with an external battery to keep weight loss on the user’s head.
There is a couple of short clips of zoo using a vision, showing hand tracking restrictions. These controls are based on multiple front-facing cameras.
Vivo has not set any official projection date for vision, but should unveil it by the end of the year. Zoo shared that it was “soon” and the headset was being tested internally by Vivo employees.
