Along with its new fellow XTS and Matapad Mini, Huawei also introduced its latest TWS earbuds – freebuds 7ii. This comes as a successor to last year’s freebuds 6i and brings some key upgrades and a few design tweaks.
The charging case is now rounded instead of an oval shape on its predecessor. The buds use the same basic stem design and in-ear silicone tips. Huawei is now offering additional XS size for ear tip with regular sized S, M and L options.
Freebuds 7i Facility 11mm quad-magnet dynamic drivers with improved sound tuning, which Huawei claims that more naturally balanced. The buds show a pair on Bluetooth 5.4 and high-rase Audio Dio Certificate. They also support 10-band equals for sound tuning, multi-point panning and 360-degree celestial Audio deio. In terms of Audio Dio Codec support, you get SBC, AAC, L2 HC 2.0 and LDAC.
The Freebuds also bring an active sound cancellation (ANC) system updated with 7 i Huawei’s intelligent dynamic ANC 4.0. These include a new algorithm with a fast 0.5-second response time and a 28 dB average noise reduction.
The Freebuds 7i show 55.5 mAh battery in each earbud and 510 mAh cell within the charging case. These numbers are the same as their predecessor and that means that the buds will last up to 8 hours with the same charge with ANC and ANC for up to 5 hours. The total battery life is rated 35 hours of media playback with ANC.
