MediaTek has announced its latest flagship chipset, dementia 9500. The company claims it determines a new standard in on-device AI, gaming and power efficiency.
The Dementia 9500 uses new Pay Generation Arm CPU Corons with ‘all large core’ designs. It uses the same arm C1-Altra Core 4.21GHz, three C 1-premium cores and four C1-Pro cores for octa-core design. MediaTek claims that the chip has 32% more single-core and diametry is 17% more multi-core effect, and achieves up to 55% lower power consumption on ultra-core Peak Performance. 9500 is also said to be 30% more efficient while multitasking. There is also ARMV 9.3 support with new SME 2 instructions for fast AI perception display, and ML functionality.
The Dementia 9500 also has a new 4-channel UFS 4.1 storage support, claiming 100% fast sequential data pace.
Dementia 9500 facilitates the new Arm G1-Altra GPU, which provides MediaTek’s claims up to 33% of PEAK peak top performance and 42% improved power efficiency. It has ray tracing units twice and promises 112% fast Ray tracing display. It has support for 120fps Ray trace gaming with interpolation. There are also support for the megalites and nanite facilities of Vulcan’s Ray Tracing Pipeline as well as unrealistic 5.
The Ninth Pay Generation of Meditech in the Dimension 9500 is the NPU 990, which is the generic AI engine 2.0, which doubles the calculation power of its predecessor, and introduces Bitnet 1.58-bit larger model processing with power consumption of up to 33%. With integer and floating-point computing capabilities double, users can expect 100% fast 3 billion dimension LLM output, 128K token prolonged processing and 4K image generation, with less power consumption of Peak Performance. The new super efficient NPU includes a unified compute-in-memory architecture of its type to reduce power consumption and enable AI models to run continuously.

The new MediaTek Imagine 1190 ISP 30 FPS supports raw-domen pre-processing up to 200MP captures with continuous focus tracking in Dimensity 9500, and a new portrait engine with a 4K 60FPS portrait video. It also supports the latest Miravision adaptive display feature.
Finally, the diameter is 10% less power consumption in 5G and 20% less in Wi-Fi views, while 5cc carrier consolidation will increase the bandwidth by 15%. AI positioning and network selection technologies provide 20% more accuracy, as well as a 50% lower network latency attributed to the forecast of AI congestion.
Mediterranean Dimension will compete against the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite General 5 on 9500 flagship devices. You can expect this chip to be seen on the next Oppo Find X9 Pro and Vivo X300 later this year.
