Amazon today announced four new members of his eco -range of smart home speakers designed to work with the company’s new Alexa+. These include a new Echo Dot Max, Eco Studio and two new echo show models in different sizes.
Starting with the Eco Dot Max, it has a dual-driver design that includes Woofer and Twitter. The new design integrated the speaker into a device housing instead of a separate module, which doubles the interior air space for the full sound. The device can also tune your surroundings and Amazon claims it can produce a bass 3x of the 5th General Eco dot.
The Eco Studio is like a large version of the Eco Dot Max. It has a high tourist woofer with three full range drivers. It has support for Audio Dio and Dolby Atomus. And it does all this in a enclosure that is 40% smaller than the original studio.
Both Eco.com and Eco Studio can also be chained together for a stereo or surrounding sound experience. You can combine up to 5 of each with compatible fire TV sticks for temporary home theater setup.
Next is the Eco Show 8 and the Eco Show 11. They have a touchscreen of 8 inches and 11 inches respectively, and Amazon says it uses in-cell touch and negative liquid crystal design to reduce the level of lamination and maximize viewing angles. Both units also have a 13MP camera for video Calls LS, and Alexza can also identify you when you go to the device for custom information.
Both Eco Show models have a new Audio deo architecture, with front-facing stereo speakers and custom woofers. Drivers are placed under the display and fire audio deio toward the user at the front.
Powering new eco devices is the new custom-designed chips with AI accelerators. The Eco.com is powered by Amazon’s new AZ3 chip while the other three uses the EZ3 Pro. These new chips also have microphone quality, rapid overall response and improvement in AI operations.
Prices for Eco Dot Max are $ 100, 20 220 for Eco Studio, $ 180 for Eco Show 8, and Echo Show 11 for 20 220. All four are available today for pre-orders, and US customers will get Alexza+ early admission. The Eco Dot Max and the Eco Studio will be available on 29 October Chatber, and the Eco Show models will be available on November 12.
