Vivo introduced the X300 series this week and this year the family is small – there are no mid-sized vanilla models and no “Pro Mini”, just the smaller X300 and the larger X300 Pro. Well, there’s likely to be an Ultra model and an FE model in the pipeline, but there’s no denying that Vivo has streamlined its flagship product line.
vivo X300 and X300 Pro Highlights
Let’s start with the vivo X300 Pro – a very “X200, part 2” if we can put it that way. Dimension 9400 swaps for 9500, UFS 4.0 for 4.1, 1/1.28” 50MP LYT-818 sensor 1/1.28” for 50MP LYT-282 sensor, 200MP HP9 or H20MPh for telephoto sensor, 200MP HP9 or H20MPh 0MP, 6,510mAh For batteries, you get the picture.
vivo X300 Pro
The X300 Pro (12/256GB) is launching at CNY 5,300, the same price as the X200 Pro at launch. We don’t have details on the global rollout yet, but this means the Pro model will cost the same as its predecessor once it hits new markets.
Let’s look at the Vivo X300 next – this is the successor to the X200 Pro Mini and not the X200. We saw comments that this is not a true “Pro Mini” because the main camera has a smaller sensor – 1/1.4” but with a 200MP resolution instead of a 1/1.28” 50MP sensor. Without binning, the sensor size is definitely a downgrade (0.56µm vs. 1.22µm pixels), but with binning at 50MP, it’s close enough.

And the X300 brings some upgrades – the X200 Pro mini also lacks a USB-C 3.2 port, but the X300 does. The battery increases to 6,040mAh (+340mAh) and is a shared upgrade across the range with a faster chipset (Dimensions 9500) and storage (UFS 4.1).

The Vivo X300 (12/256GB) is launching at CNY 4,400, which is actually quite a bit cheaper than the CNY 4,700 that the X200 Pro Mini is priced at at launch. Of course, the Pro Mini never went global – overseas markets got the less capable X200 FE instead.
