Nothing released the Android 16-based Nothing OS 4.0 last month, and earlier this month released its first open beta for the Nothing Phone (3), Phone (2), Phone (2a) and Phone (2a) Plus. The Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro were abandoned, but the Nothing OS 4.0 open beta is finally available for these smartphones.

Additionally, Nothing OS 4.0 Open Beta comes with Lock Preview, which displays high-quality wallpapers on your phone’s lock screen. Lock Glimpses groups these wallpapers into nine categories, and can also display “periodic updates” and “useful content designed to enhance your experience” on the lock screen.

It’s also worth noting that beta builds aren’t as stable as official builds and often contain bugs that can hamper the user experience, so it’s best to avoid installing beta software on your primary device.
