We have completed our battery life and charging tests on the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max and the results are very good. Let’s look at the numbers.

The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max puts its massive 7,500mAh battery to good use, getting more than 4 hours of active use than the Xiaomi 15T Pro (which, granted, has a 2,000mAh smaller battery). You need to look at the likes of Oppo Find X9 Pro to find a better active usage score. However, Xiaomi is better in some individual tests – it is 12 hours more in the call test, and a few minutes more in the video playback test.
What the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max was able to achieve in 29 hours is quite impressive.
Moving on to charging, and the results are less impressive this time around. But that’s to be expected – huge batteries are hard to charge quickly.

Xiaomi 17 Pro Max’s 100W Hypercharge brick will give you 42% back in a quarter of an hour. It’s still impressive, matching last year’s Xiaomi 15 Ultra and sitting just behind the 15T Pro with its smaller battery (and slightly slower charger).
The results in the 30-minute test measure up equally – the 15T Pro is first, followed by the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. The Find X9 Pro is far behind, sitting at 54% after 30 minutes. Xiaomi 17 Pro Max was up to 100% in 1 hour and 2 minutes. That’s slightly faster than the Find X9 Pro’s 1:07 hours.
