Apple has started seeding its iOS 26.1 Release Candidate (RC) version. This version is available to developers and public beta testers and comes a week after the release of iOS 26.1 beta 4.
Apple is expanding Apple Intelligence support to an additional eight languages, including Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Turkish, Chinese (Traditional), and Vietnamese.
The RC release also fixes several bugs, including unexpected sleep when using lock screen apps like calculator, timer, and notes. AirDrop enhancements along with smoother animations and updated Apple Music navigation.
iOS 26.1 Beta Visual Enhancements
On the visual side, iOS 26.1 allows the user to adjust the opacity of Liquid Glass. Users can also disable the camera swipe on the homescreen. Visual changes are coming to Safari, Calendar, Photos and Apple Music.
