Earlier this month, Google unveiled Gemini for Home, a suite of devices for the home. Today, Gemini for Home US. has started to roll out in, but there is a catch.
Gemini for Home is currently in early access mode, and if you want to be among the first in the US to be able to test it, you need to request access.

To do this, go to Google Groups Settings > Global Settings and make sure “Add me to their groups” is checked. Then go to the Google Home app, tap your profile picture or initials, and choose Home Settings. That’s where the “Initial Access” option should be located, and tapping on it will request access on your behalf.
If you’re granted access, Gemini for Home will replace your Google Assistant on your compatible smart home devices. It’s important to note that this step is reversible—you can’t go back to Google Assistant later if you change your mind. Also, access to Gemini Live and the ability to search your camera history with Gemini for Home both require a paid Google Home Premium subscription.
