Get the Pro or Ultra Cam when the vanilla model is just the right amount good? Vivo is testing how you can address that question this year with the X200 — a high-end proposition that loses some of the bells and whistles of its more advanced siblings, but doesn’t really seem to lack any major features.
It’s got a powerful chipset – the same as the X200 Pro. It’s got a bigger C/C battery – as big as the Pro’s, and it’s got fast charging – a bit faster than the Pro’s, it turns out. As water resistant as the X200. So what’s not to like?
Well, something had to give, of course. For one, the X200 doesn’t get the 200MP telephoto camera of the Pro (and China-only Ultra), but it does offer a very nice 50MP 3x zoom unit. along with Close focusing (OnePlus 13 and Oppo Find x8 don’t quite get there). A smaller sensor on the main camera is another line in the compromise column, but both the ultrawide and selfie cameras are the same on the X200 Pro.
The slightly less capable display (60 Hz minimum refresh rate and no Dolby Vision) is one of the things that shines compared to the specs, but is of debatable importance, as is the optical fingerprint reader (as opposed to ultrasonic). And yes, the rest looks pretty good on paper.

Vivo x200 unboxing
Our X200 review unit arrived in the usual squarish graphite-colored cardboard box typical of Vivos. Presentation may vary by region, and inclusions certainly will – no adapters in EU-bound boxes. Our unit came bundled with a UK-style 90W charger.
Our brief research on some regional Vivo websites suggests that a typical bundle will include a USB cable and a protective case like ours.
