WhatsApp group is working on a new facility for chats. It has been found in the latest WhatsApp beta build for Android, which has become available to the people of the beta test group today.
This allows you to assign a label for you in each group, as displayed by the following screenshots. You will be viewed by all current and future members of the label group you assigned, but nowhere else – each such label is specific to one group. Once you set the label for you in the group, it will be there until you change it, whether you reset or reinstall.
As you can see, WhatsApp “Jordan’s parents”, “coach”, “chair”, suggest that kind of thing, but your imagination is the only real limit here. Of course, you hope that your role is useful to tell others, at a glance. It is the perfect issue of this feature.
As usual with such features present in WhatsApp beta, it is not clear when this will roll for ordinary people. It can take a few weeks, or several months – but it’s on the way.
