WhatsApp is currently working that should be a very requested feature: support for threaded message answers. This is currently in development, and once it ends (which may take a long time), it should move to chats, group chats, communities and channels.
With the support for the threads, once you answer the quoted message, then the thread will be connected to the original message, thus ensuring that all its answers remain tidy. So instead of scrolling in a long list of personal answers to the message, you will be able to follow them in a dedicated thread, as shown in the screenshot on the right right.
Although it seems that you need to tap on the answer to enter the thread – the threads will not automatically appear next to the original message, for example, on the reddit. It is yet to be seen if this is a better option in practice.
This is especially welcome in a very busy group chat, where discussions can be tremendous quickly. This way, each message will have their own thread of answers and therefore numerous different conversations in the group would be easier to follow without losing any context.
