Google unveiled Pixel 9A this week, its new affordable phone with the current tensor G4 chipset. However, the phone will not really be available until April and we do not even have a certain date. So, let’s browse and see what else is there.
First, the price of 9 – we know it starts at $ 500, which should be for the 8/128GB model. There is also an 8/256GB version, but prices have not yet been announced. The Pixel 8 was $ 500/$ 560 for the same memory configurations at the launch – and that’s still. The old model should have a discount right now, unless it does not stop.
Therefore, we move on to the Google Pixel 9 instead of the premium mid-range from the Pixel range. It’s a step up to 80 680 for the Base 128GB model (and this is with a solid $ 120 discount). Google Pixel 9 Pro starts at $ 750. They are $ 250 more than 9A, so they are not straight competitors. But with only $ 70 between 9 and 9 Pro, it is still worth considering. It has more RAM (16GB), high resolution display (1280p+ vs.
For perfection, here is also the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, which is currently below $ 900 for a 128GB storage version, but 256GB is only $ 50 more.
The Samsung Galaxy S22F is the interpretation of the flagship series. It uses the Exynos 2400e chipset, which shares DNA with a tensor chip but offers high performance. This is a large device (6.7 “display vs. 6.3”), but you cannot say from a 4,700mAh battery. You get 8MP3X (75 mm) telephoto lens, so you don’t have to rely on digital zoom with pixel 9A. Both Pixels and S24 FE 7 OS will receive updates.
The OnePlus 12R is powered by Snapdragon 8 General 2 – it may be two pay -generations old, but it is still faster than Tensor G4. It loses at the Exynos 2400e, though. Even so, 6.78 “1264p+ OLED display is an LTPO panel, usually a premium feature. And a large 5,500 mAh battery supports fast 100 ward charging but lacks wireless. Finally, the IP64 rating is less, but keep in mind.
Finally, you can explore a new form factor with Motorola Razor 2024 for the same price of pixels – $ 500 (though, again with 256 GB storage instead of 128 GB). Demensity is much slower than 7300x tensor, especially in graphics tests. Despite being foldable, the razor has IPX8 water resistance.
