Namaste to Vivo Vision – a new mixed reality (MR) headset that entered the Boao forum for Asia. A prototype was featured at the Vivo Booth, with the final device expected to release in the middle of 2025.
The company said that the introduction of Vivo Vision is “part of the strategy to strengthen its real-time spatial computing capabilities for future application in consumer robotics.”
The event also featured more cutting edge innovations like 6G Advancement and the upcoming X20 Ultra Smartphone.
During the “Vivo Release Moment” session held today, Vivo’s executive VP. And COO Hu Bishon said that the mobile phone industry is the “microcosm” of China’s tech innovation. The official pointed that Vivo has been a domestic mobile phone brand for the last four years, and serves more than 500 million users in 60 markets.
The Boao Forum for Asia, often known as “Asian Davos”, is an event launched by two dozen Asian countries where the leaders of the government, business and academia discuss their vision on the most pressurized issues facing the field.
During the forum, Vivo also announced the establishment of a robotics laboratory, which is a new strategic innovation way to chase the company. Vivo plans to develop the “brain” and “eyes” of robots, using its experience in areas such as AI LLMS and Imaging, with spatial computing capabilities that will be achieved by Vivo vision.
