Ken has announced two new logging logging-centered cameras, point-and-shoot powershots V1 and mirrorless EOS R50V.
PowerShot V1
Powershot V1 shows a new design of Optim Ptimise for normal as well as selfie shooting. It contains a fixed 16-50 mm f2.8-4.5 zoom lens that can cover 17-52 mm (due to the added crop) in the video. The camera uses a new 22.3 MP1.4 type sensor with dual pixel CMOS AF II with dual pixel CMOS AF II for a powershot to enable video recording for a long time. The camera can be used for video calls and livestreams with PCs on a USB connection, and can work wire or wirelessly from the smartphone using the Canon Camera Connect app.
EOS R50V
Next is EOS R50V. This new design is also Optim Ptimized for a dedicated livestream button, recording button on the front of the camera and a video with the Tripod Screw Hall on the side for the portrait recording. The R50 V RF-Mount uses and is compatible with all Canon RF lenses, with the newly launched RF-S 14-30mm F4-6.3 A STM PZ, which is the first RF-S lens with power zoom functionality. The camera uses a 24MP APS-C sensor with dual pixel CMOS AF II and Digic X processor. It can shoot up to 4K videos in 60fps with crops and YCC 4: 2: 2 10-bit. It also supports Canon Log 3 so you can match it with Canon’s cinema EOS line.
The Canon Powershot V1 costs $ 900. The EOS R50V cost is only 50 650 for the body and 50 850 with RF-S 14-30mm F4-6.3, STM PZ Lens. Both cameras will be available in April.
