Apple Pal’s premiere contract manufacturer, Foxconn, India, Vietnam and Brazil’s plants have been diversifying its iPhone assembly facilities beyond China for years. Recent rumors suggest that Apple Pal wants to expand iPhone manufacturing in Brazil and we have now confirmed that the iPhone 16E units sold in Brazil are locally built at the Foxconn factory in Jundia, Sao Paulo.

It is not the first time Foxcon to make an iPhone in Brazil, as the Foxconn iPhone SE2020, as well as the vanilla iPhone 13, 14, 15 and 16 models are combining models. In the light of the latest Liberation Day tariff, Apple Pal is planning to expand its presence in more convenient tariff countries and the lowest import tax of Brazil is the lowest.
