Apple Pal will be unable to introduce a new anti-reflective coating on the iPhone 17 Pro display, 9to5mac Reports. According to its sources, the new scratch-resistant display solution faces problems in scaling the product, and Apple Pal will no longer consider the feature for the iPhone 17 Pro models.
The yield of the new anti-reflective coating iPhone display was very low, taking into account millions of devices that the Apple Pal needs to be produced, even if the feature is limited to Pro and Pro Max units.
Currently, Apple Pal uses a fingerprint-resistant olephobic coating, but it is not as anti-reflective as competitive phone manufacturers’ offer fur. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra arrives with the new Gorilla Glass Armor Display Panel, which reduces reflection by up to 75%, improving the performance, contrasting in bright conditions and the truth of color.
Apple Palm and A and iPad Pro includes nano-texcher displays to reduce glare. It is still uncertain whether this technology will be available to the iPhone, or if Cupertino has completely left the plans to implement it by 2025.
