During President Trump’s first tenure, American companies were forbidden to work with Huawei, which had effectively cut off the Success of the Play Store and Services. Now Trump has come back to Office Fissure and has launched another trade war with China – so there are rumors that if Chinese smartphone manufacturers follow the same fate as Huawei, he is looking for a backup plan.
Speaking of Huawei, he made his own platform, harmonios. And now with Huawei, Ziomi, Oppo, Vivo and OnePlus are allegedly exploring the Google-free version of Android.
The rumor is that Hyperos 3 will start supporting such a move. It is not clear how much different brands will collaborate on this project or what Huawei’s involvement will be.
Huawei went from its platform to eliminate the Android application compatibility. Ziomi and the company will do the same – and will they adopt Huawei’s arc compiler, petal maps, etc.? It’s unclear for now.

Based on the most recent statistics, Ziomi is the largest phone maker in China, followed by Huawei closely, then in third and fourth place Oppo and Vivo. These companies have given a share of two -thirds of smartphones sent to China in Q1 this year. When Huawei lost its global dominance, Ziomi, Vivo and Oppo are in the top 5 globally, so if they start selling Google-free phones, it will have a big impact on the market.
