Qualcomm announced its Snapdragon 7 General 4 (SM7750-AB) chipset as a straight successor to Snapdragon 7 General 3 from 2023. As you expect, the new 4NM chip benefits the impressive influence, including fast CPU, GPU and NPU on its two -year predecessor.
The Snapdragon 7 Jane 4 features an updated crio CPU with a 1+4+3 configuration. There are 1x Prime Core @ 2.8GHz, 4x Performance Cores @ 2.4GHz and 3X functionality cores @ 1.8GHz. Qualcomm claims 27% fast CPU performance on SD7 General 3.
Adreno GPU gets 30% boost compared to the previous general chip. Qualcomm is also bringing selected Snapdragon Elite Gaming Features, including its adaptive performance engine 4.0. GPU also supports HDR 10, HDR 10+, HDR Vivid and HLG Codex.
The updated Shatkona NPU is promoting 65% of AI functions with the ability to run a stable diffusion locally 1.5 of the Snapdragon 7 General 4.
The chip supports up to the LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. SD Video recording is at the top at 4K 30fps.
The connectivity side consists of sub-6 GHz 5g, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. Chip also supports APTX Lossless, and APTX Adaptive Audio Dio Codex as well as Qualcomm’s extended personal area network (XPN).
Honor, Vivo and Realme will announce Snapdragon 7 General 4 phones next month. Honor 400 is expected to launch as the first device with a new chip next week.
