In March Google began testing AI mode for search with Google Labs with a limited subset of users. After that, earlier this month, it expanded its reach to all the US Google Labs users. At its I/O Developer Conference today, Google has just announced that AI Mode has graduated and is no longer an experimental feature.
Instead, he is rolling out all the US Google Search users from today. This will take a few weeks as usual as Google’s Software Fatware Rollouts, and when you get it, you will see a new tab for AI mode in search and search bars in the Google app on mobile devices.

It will be the left side of the “all” tab, the left side. Google says AI mode is its “most powerful AI search” (which is not sure), and has the ability to go through “more advanced logic and multimodality” as well as “follow-up questions and accessible links to the web” (again, “(again,”. What? – Unfortunately we are not told).
Google has promised a lot, including “hyper-related” results, and also says that AI mode is where it will first bring “capabilities of Gemini’s boundary”, whatever it means. Many of AI mode features and capabilities will be graduated in the defl default lt search, so soon you will not be able to avoid it (for a while you can still ignore the AI Mode tab).
Starting this week, Gemini 2.5’s “custom version” (whatever it means) will be brought to find both AI Mode and AI overviews. AI mode will also find Deep Rundi, which will “cause different pieces of information, and make a fully-tanked report of the specialist-level in just minutes, protecting you for hours research”. Of course, then you will need hours to check that you are not lying completely because you have a tendency to do AI models.
AI mode will also have a live icon that will allow you to display your camera on the content and ask questions, as well as how to live with Gemini camera and screen sharing work.
Starting with companies such as AI Mode Ticketmaster, Stabhub, Reese and Vagro, you will be able to book event tickets, restaurant reservations and local appointments. Once you would like something to do something virtually, AI Mode will also buy clothes for you.
You will be able to connect other Google applications to Gmail, from AI mode, to provide a personal reference. It will also give personal suggestions based on your past search. And finally, AI mode will analyze complex datasets and create graphics that “bring them to life”, all will be customized in your query.
While AI mode itself is rolling, the AI mode we have talked about will only begin to appear “next week and months” by Google Labs.
