Samsung launched the Galaxy A16 in October Chatber, and is now working on its successor, Galaxy A17. When we are a few months away from the introduction of this model, the new rumor outside Korea has some good news for those who wait for its release.
Obviously, the main camera of the Galaxy A17 will have OPT pattal image stabilization (OI). Once a special feature for flagships, Samsung’s Galaxy has dropped the mid-rangers series in the last few years, and now it looks like it is ready to make it one of its entry-level devices. To reduce costs, Samsung is considering using the OIS system that uses springs, which is 20% cheaper than the existing OIS implementation.

So far, OIS has recently made it as low as the Galaxy A2X series with A26 showing tech. Obviously, Samsung wants to use the addition of OIS in the Galaxy A17 as a key differential, and therefore increase sales. Whether those works are yet to be seen, but we are delighted to see such features that many years ago did not make a way to the low-end handsets like this.
