Multiple reports have claimed in recent times that Apple is scaling back production of the iPhone Air unveiled last month, with one even claiming that the sleek iPhone is almost in its final production mode. However, a new report contradicts those claims.

In a note to investors on October 26, TD Cowen said Apple is not reducing the number of iPhone Air units it will produce in 2025. A TD Cowen report says the iPhone Air forecast for October will remain unchanged.

The forecast for the iPhone Air is 3 million for Q3 2025 and 7 million for Q4 2025. The September quarter build for the entire iPhone 17 lineup is 54 million, while the forecast for the December quarter is 79 million.

Even if Apple scales back iPhone Air production, that doesn’t mean the model won’t be successful. Pro models are sometimes in high demand initially, so Apple can adjust production accordingly.
