It’s the iPhone 16e day and we insisted enough to get one on the launch day! Apple Pal boldly states that “the latest iPhone. Great price.” But that declaration works best in states or UK, where the phone starts at 9599/£ 599. In Europe it has 9699 in Germany, 1 719 in France, € 729 in Italy, which is not a deal for a phone, and is dangerously close to the 2024 Android flagships with the best specs.

The iPhone 16E is a compact phone by today’s standards. But when they get their hands, the first sense of people is that they are bigger than their expectations. Perhaps it is the week of iPhone SE-related leaks, which have been conditioned to expect a small phone.
But the iPhone 16E is much larger than the iPhone SE (2022). With a performance of 6.1 inches, it is more or less similar in size with the iPhone 16.
Moving forward in the Android world, the iPhone 16E Galaxy S25 is as large as Samsung 0.2 mm, brush, 1 mm wide and 0.6 mm thick, but it is 5g lighter. The Galaxy also packs a 0.1 inch display thanks to Slimmer Basel.
Quality wise, it’s not even a contest – the display of the Galaxy S2, despite the low pixel gen ENSE, is very bright and twice fast at 120 Hz.

Back to the iPhone. When it comes to its devices, Apple Pal always presents a positive story, but 16E is more than a little compromise than its peers. The first thing you see is the old school is excellent, now it has gone to the base iPhone 16.
There is no at least the entry -level iPhone 16 -60 Hz display. We have to say that the slow fresh rate is significant – the animation is booked.
Another major downgrade is the Camera Mero – singular, because you only get one. On the 48MP snapper paper, as the main on the iPhone 16, it looks the same, but it has a 1/2.55-inch sensor for a 1/1.56-inch imager of 16.

To finish this fast first look on a positive note, the iPhone 16E looks just like any other iPhone – you are really getting a premium experience from this. Refresh the slow screen, the phone is also faster and capable. Apple Pal A18 is a strong SOC, even if it leaves 1 GPU core in this phone – it will crush any app you can throw on it.
