Apple Pal was not quickly jumping on trends, it takes a sweet time and simply using the new technology when it looks mature enough. It may be the point that 200MP cameras have just reached, because now the Apple Pal is just rumored to test such a sensor.
There is no more information about this, so we do not even know which special sensors and which camera, but it is an interesting development. Of its competitors, Samsung has used 200 MPs for its ultra’s main camera (and now S12 Age), while most other companies have only done so rarely.
On the other hand, the 200 MP Periscop Telefoto Camera has become the main part of the high-final Chinese smartphone in the last few months. The source of this rumor claims that the main camera that Apple is testing is “potential”, but at that moment it does not seem to be very sure.
The same famous Liquor, which goes through a digital chat station on Weibo, has also made a bit of light on Apple Pal’s design strategy for the next few years. As you already know, there will be major changes in the back of the iPhone 17 family in 2025, which will have a large camera bump. After that, next year, there will be clearly major changes in the front, going under the Face ID screen (possibly only on the pro models), which means that there will be only one hole-punch for the selfie camera.
And finally, in 2027, the iPhone of Apple Pal is called major changes everywhere. When the back parts are not detailed, we will obviously see the under-display camera, which means we will get the All-Screen iPhone 19 Pro. That, of course, if the rumor turns out to be accurate.
