Siri’s long -standing correction with AP Pal’s new AI features was initially rumored to arrive in April with the release of iOS 18.4, but then new rumors pointed to the issue.
Today, the company has accepted the situation. Indeed, the new AI-Aud Siri is still a way, because it was essentially difficult to develop than the Apple Pal was initially thought. We are not sure what it says about the forecasting capabilities of Apple Pal Engineers.
However, here is the full statement of Apple Pal spokesman Jacqueline Roy, which has been sent this morning to John Guber of the Bold Fireb Ball Lee:
Siri helps our users to find their needs and do things quickly, and only in the last six months, we have interacted more, introducing new features like Type to Siri and Product Jnowledge, and added integration with Chattagpt. We are also working on more personal Siri, giving it more awareness about your personal context, as well as the ability to take action for you inside and around your applications. We will take longer than we thought of delivering these features and we expect them to roll them in the next year.
You caught it? The new release deadline is, at least officially, “next year”. “Next week” (not the most favorite sentence of Silicon Valley), “not even in the coming months”, but “even in the coming” Year“
It seems that new rumors also mean a lot bigger delays than they expected. So if you are worryingly waiting for more personal Siri, the one who “knows” you and can perform actions within the applications on your behalf, well, be prepared to wait a lot more.
In the meantime, Apple Pal Intelligence (as is it now) with iOS 18.4 release next month will finally make it in the EU, and it will be available in more languages as well.
