According to new data published by Apple Pal Today, 76% of the iPhone released in the last four years is running iOS 18. 19% of them are at iOS 17, and only 5% on previous versions. Of all the iPhones that are still in use, 68% iOS 17, 19% on iOS 17 and 13% on previous versions.
63% of the iPados already operated in the last four years, compared to 27%, compared to 27%, which is 17 and 10% on previous versions. Of all the iPad used, 53% iPados is 18, 28% on iPados 17 and 19% on previous versions.
These numbers are measured by the devices transacted on the App Store by January 21. Compared to iOS 17 and iPados 17, around the same time last year, the numbers are very similar, displaying the way to adopt a very similar adoption.
Of the iPhones presented in the last four years, 76% were on the latest version, and the number of all iPhones was 66%. For the iPad it was 61% released in the last four years and 53% of that.
You can see these two ways and say either iOS and iPados are peaking adoption speed, or you can compare these numbers to any Android device maker and laugh (if you are iOS fan) or crying (if you are Android Fans). The choice is yours.
