Micros .f and ASUS have announced a new range of ROG Xbox Alley Handhelds. These include new ROG Xbox Eli X and ROG Xbox companions. These devices combine ASUS’s hardware with updated Windows S. Software Fatware experience for handhelds.
Starting with the hardware part, the new ROG Xbox Eli X AMD Raizen will run on the Z2 Extreme processor while ROG Xbox Eli gets the new Raizen Z2 processor. The LPDR 5X 8000 MHz Memory is a fellow X4GB while the ally is 16 GB LPDDR 5X 6400 MHz. There is 1 TB storage on Eli X while cheap model does with 512 GB.
Both have a fantastic design that Micros .ft claims that Xbox is using design principles like wireless controller. This results in the grip of the hand that sticks to the side instead of integrated into the main body.
At the front, the restrictions are similar to the previous companion’s models dells, which borrowed the layout from the Xbox controller. There is also a new Xbox button that is not present on old fellow models. The restrictions are the same on both models but the mate X receives impulse triggers instead of the standard hall effect analog triggers on the mate.
Both models get a 7 -inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD with Freesync Premium. DXC is a developing protection of the orning gorilla glass on top with an anti-reflection coating. It would have been a pleasure to see the OLED option here, but it looks like ASUS is sticking to its LCD panels.
There are two USB-C ports in both models, but when both ports support USB 2.1 General 2 on a partner, the Allies X replace one of them with USB4. There is also a UHS -2 microSD card slot and headphone jack. Both also get Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth 5.4. Finally, Eli X has an 80Wh battery while the companion receives 60Wh.
Now on the topic of Software Fatware, the ROG Xbox Eli Models will send with the custom version of the Dells Windows required. This includes a new Xbox full screen experience, designed for use with the controller. This also reduces background activity and defrers non-essential windows tasks so that more resources can be allocated to games. The experience of Xbox Full Screen not only lists the Micros .ft Store titles, but there are games of other stores like Steam and Epic Games.
Microsoft has announced that it is working with developers on a new program that helps players identify OPTIM ptimized games for handhelds, like Valve’s Steam Deck Verified Logo.
Those who buy Xbox Alley devices will get a game pass subscription for an indefinite period. Microsoft has also worked for a version with Roblox that is Optim ptimized for gaming handhelds, which will start with these devices. After all, there will also be a gaming copilot, but nobody care.
