Following the teaser range, onyx has officially announced the Books P6 Pro-its latest smartphone-sized e-reader. This is a remarkable because it adds cellular connectivity with full 5G support and comes in a special version with the Kalido 3 Color E ink screen with 4096 colors, similar to what we have seen on Amazon’s Kindle ColorSoft models.

Books P6 Pro also falls into the regular monochrome e ink screen version using the Carta 1300 screen. Both measure 6.13 inches in the diagonal and show some large bases around the screen. One of the benefits of the color E ink model is the stylus support.

Both have a glass panels and 824 x 1,684 PX resolution and automatic brightness adjustment. You also get stereo speakers and a single rear-facing 16-megapixel camera, which will be useful for scanning QR codes.
The P6 Pro Series comes with 8GB RAM and eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset connected with 128GB of storage. You can also expand the collection of thanks to the Board Neboard MicroSD card slot. Book OS 4.1 boots based on P6 Pro models, Android 13 and supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 connectivity. They also get a 3,950 mAh battery with 15W charge on USB-C.

Books P6 Pro starts for CNY 2,516 (3 353) for a monochrome display model that comes white. The color E ink version, which comes black, goes to CNY 2,991 (20 420). Both will be available in China from 15 October. Onenx has yet detailed international availability.
