CMF Buds 2 Plus is a premium model in the tripod of new earbuds from anything. A part of the entry-level CMF range, which means to be all relatively affordable, the most expensive buds come in 2 plus $ 69. And if that is not less enough, their cost is only $ 39 (INR 3,299) in India.
Compared to the buds 2 and buds 2, the buds try to provide an elevated experience with 2 plus Audio Dio and improvement next to ANC. The LDAC is a 12mm LCP driver with Hi-Race Audio Dio and the claimed 50dB sound cancellation. The rest of the specifications are mostly the same but there is no major price difference between models.
We will take a look at the cheap buds 2 model in a separate review but for now, let’s move on with the buds 2 plus.
Composition and rest
The buds 2 plus designs are equal to 2 buds from last year. We saw that there was only a slightly small case and a new logo on the exterior, in which the company was mostly away from the circular logo in favor of the CMF Wordmark.
Starting with the case, the exterior screws and finishes are unfamiliar to such an affordable product. The shell has a beautiful soft-touch texture and the panel gaps are impressively tight. ID Changing also opens and closes with satisfactory stress and CK CK. CMF (color, material and finish) is done very well here, the company clearly takes its name seriously.
There is an aluminum rotating dial in the upper left corner of the case. Like the one on buds 2, the rotation of the dial is pure decoration and can be best used as a fidget spinner. You can attach a L NY Nayard with it but does not provide one in the b in. It would have been nice, if the dial was functioning, like the buds on Pro 2, but in the future the buds 2 Pro model didn’t save it.
Reaching the inside buds, they once again have the same design as CMF buds from last year but without a circular logo. The back of the stem is capacitive and supports tap-based gestures.
The overall design of the earbuds is comfortable but I was not influenced by the materials used for ear tips. They use a technique, plastic-inexperienced silicone that you get on very cheap earbuds. Not only does it look great in your ear but the material does not suit your inner ear shape as well as more premium and soft material.
This leaves some gaps that do not sound in the sound until you adjust them quickly or if you move your head or jaw, whether you choose the right size for your ear. The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro at the same price uses very nice tips that feel better and work and at least, people on the plus model would have been pleased to see anything.
SOC Fatware and Features
Kali 2 Plus interface with anything X app on your Android or iOS device. From here, you can adjust things like ANC, Audio Dio parameters, touch gestures and firmware update. Like the software fighter of anything, anything X application is clean and is a wind wave to operate, other Audio Dio manufacturers can learn something.
The app provides a choice of ANC, closed and transparency mode. ANC on mode has a manually controllable layer and adaptive mode that automatically adjusts the level based on the surrounding sound.
The application contains a set of Audio Dio options for Kali 2 Plus. The most prominent is the celestial Audio deo facility, which I at least find it impressive because it was a common surrounding voice that lacks professionally mastered Audio deo that you get from Dolby Atomus Tracks. There is also no head-tracking support on this model.
Nothing X app
There is nothing on the ultra bass mode on the CMF buds and it is enabled as a default at the lowest price of 1. If you hate the good voice (and your ear) you can turn it up to 5, but I have completely disabled the feature without having plenty of bass.
There is a personal sound feature, which we have seen on other models before. It plays a series of tones and you can choose whether you listen to it and finally it creates a custom Audio Dio profile for each individual ear.
AUD Dati Settle
To work reliably this feature, you have to stay in a dead calm environment, which is not always easy to come. Otherwise, you will not only hear the test tone on the surrounding sound, even if your ears are able to hear them, which greatly affects the utility of the test.
Also, these tests are very confident in the quality of drivers and Audio deo processing to make sure you listen to the correct test tone, and I can’t say that I have so much confidence in a pair of budget earbuds. This means that I never make sure I’m not listening to a tone because my ears are not good enough or because drivers are not so good to produce it properly. As such, I do not put a lot of stock in these tests, but if the end result is your liking, you can give them a shot.
In the end, there is equalizer. Here are some options for earbuds with default lt tuning (if you set the custom preset to 0 values, you too listen to it). Presets show you a little visualization to show you the general type of tuning that you can expect but it doesn’t always make sense; The electronic preset shows that even though there is more bass than the POP, the AUD Dilly is more bass in POP.
Equalist
Talking about the custom IQ, we do not once again have an incredibly basic and high-key terrible 3-band EQ that is arranged in a strange circular pattern. It is impossible to get a value of any of these because it is due to widespread changes made without any beautiful control or nuisance. It also drains the amount of sound when you adjust anything.
It’s a high time nothing leaves this waste that is fully chosen for its aesthetic appeal in favor of functional EQ with at least 5 bands. Even better, anything more expensive for all models can make an 8-band parametric EQ available on buds as it is only a Software Fatware feature present in any X application but hidden with cheap models.
Operation
Poetry
The buds contain 12mm single dynamic drivers with LCP (liquid crystal polymer) and polyurethane diaphragm. You get a maximum of 990kbps with LDAC with your standard SBC and AAC Codex. Nevertheless, LC3 is not support.
Audio deo tuning, which is done from the inside of the house, is very much that we expect these days from customer Audio Dio products. With melo meads and s plain, the ultra bass feature has a strong emphasis on bass even though it is disabled.
Starting at the low end, I found a bass on buds 2 plus. This was especially true for the type of music designed for the POPP preset, which I assess here because it is default lt. In other styles, the bass paints a layer of mush on the rest of the noise, which reduces the overall clarity and makes it a bit blurry.
The mid-ray has a good presence in the mixture and is not buried in all ways in the back like a typical V-shaped tuning. However, the singer is slightly full of crowds and always compresses them lightly. However, this is fairly subtle and not easily noticeable.
High-end is incredible. Diff default lt tuning is enough to not darken but it is not a stand in its presence or detailed recovery.
When viewed from the first -time buyer’s lens that is probably the target audience of the BUDS buds 2, Audio Deo is ok tuning. The buyer in this segment is likely to be inexperienced and underdated and it should look enjoyable Audio Dio. When using earbuds, when working without a sound or working without working, I was reasonably enjoyed the sound of a few tracks distracted due to the presence of sound.
Unfortunately, the EQ is useless to get anything close to the reference Audio Dio and your best condition is to use the classical preset, which is not perfect, very close. I found a combination of classical presets and level 2 more balanced than the default lt POP preset on ultra bass.
In comparison, the Nord Buds 3 Pro has the same sound but the mids have better wood and the overall tonility is a bit more fun. CMF Buds 2 Plus does not get any points for being LDAC as you do not listen to the resolution added to the sound.
Microphone
The microphone is a good performance in the buds 2 plus. The sounds look natural without garbling. Your voice level is a little up and down as if you are going far away from the mic, even if the mic is on your ear. It is very good for the side, overall microphone quality with voice is Calls.
The performance of the microphone is also better than the Nord Buds 3 Pro, which garle sounds for months after the launch.
Voice revocation
The active sound is canceled using six board microphones in the buds 2 plus. The 5400 MHz does not claim anything to cancel 50DB in the frequency range.
The sound cancellation operation is good for the cost. You get satisfactory attention in the low frequency range and are suitable in mid-range. High frequencies are not well out .It is not done, and a part of it is due to cheap ear tips that do not always make a perfect seal. At times some high-frequency sounds come even more clearly, which can be distracted. However, for the most part, the display of ANC is appropriate.
Similarly, transparency operations were also found to be sufficient, with a reasonable natural presentation of the surrounding sounds.
There is a slight difference between the ANC and of F modes. I felt a little less bass-rather than the ANC Sound. That, with a combination of the surrounding sound, the earbuds look less congested and more balanced. When at home, I prefer to close the ANC instead of keeping it all over time.
Decoration
The buds have a proper latency effect in 2 plus. When something was tested with the phone (2), some titles had a good latency performance while others were not. Nothing seems to be doing much in the low leg mode in the X app, as there was no improvement with the enabled option, disabled and poorly delayed the app that had worked well.
Connection
The buds had a reliable connectivity exhibition in 2 plus. When using 990kbps on a non-non-no phone, I not only noticed some battle, but anything on the phone (2) was also the mode rock solid.
B Battery Terry Life
The buds have a 14 -hour battery life using ANC disabled and AAC in 2 Plus. With LDAC, that number comes down to 8 hours.
In my test, I got 14 hours and 23 minutes when using AAC and 8 hours and 34 minutes when using LDAC, so the company statistics are accurate.
After a 10 -minute charge, the AAC does not even consistently claim 4.5 hours of playback. I got 4 hours 35 minutes, which was once again within the distance of the claimed figure. And when anything does not refer to the LDAC figure, I got 2 hours and 51 minutes, which is respectful.
End
CMF buds offer good overall performance for 2 plus prices. Design and build quality are good, earbuds are comfortable, battery life is excellent, microphone display is admirable, and nothing is easy to clean and use X app.
Downsides include limited and clumsy custom equalizers as well as an incredible Audio deio quality attached to the cheap-new and underperforming ear tips. For the price, this is easy to see in the past, especially because the target customer is unlikely to know any better. However, it would have been nice, if the plus model would not have these drawbacks to justify his brother -in -law’s brother -in -law.
The buds 2 plus cannot be quite standing from the crowd with similar precious options, such as the OnePlus Nord Beds 3 Pro, which performs more or less uniformly. However, they are a competent all -rounder and if you like the design of hardware and S software fare in the competition, it would be a good reason for choosing them for the rest.
