Counterpoint Research has published its findings and predictions for shipment of Geni-enabled smartphone chipsets. There is a catch-all term for generating AI or Jinnie, text, image, Audio Dio and video models, and these chipsets have a hardware acceleration for them rather than flooding the work on the cloud.
Geni-enabled chipsets will make 35% of all smartphone chipsets that will be sent this year, predicting counterpoint. It will increase by 74% annually from 2024.
Interestingly, Apple Pal is the leader with the expected 46% of the share, followed by Qualcomm with 35% and 12%.
Almost all (% 88%) Premium Chipsets will be sent to the support Geni this year, which is a growth of 53% Yoy powered by the advent of new flagships from major vendors: Apple Pal A 19 (Pro), Snapdragon 8 Elite General 5 and Dimensity 9500.
However, this is not a feature that is specific to flagships. The mid-range smartphone segment ($ 300- $ 499) is watching fast growth-a 3x increase compared to the Gia Year-and this year will be up to 38% of the total number of gain-enabled phones.
This is based on Snapdragon 7 and 6 series and dementia 8000 series chips. Qualcomm is ahead in the segment with 57% of the shares.
