The Exynos 2500 for the Galaxy S22 Series was not ready in time, but Samsung has put the final touch on it and made it official – only for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which will debut on July 9.
The Exynos 2500 is a Fabd for improved power functionality on Samsung’s latest 3NM gate (GAA) node and uses a new packaging-fan-out wafer-level packaging or folip. This allows the thickness of the chip and the dissolution of improved heat.
The CPU is a 10-core (decka-core) design with which Samsung says 1+7+2 configuration. In reality, it is 1+2+5+2 because it is divided into mid-core two to reduce power consumption. Samsung is claiming 15% more “Big-core” performance.
The CPU runs a cortex-X925 core 3.3GHz, 2.74GHz on two fast cortex-A725 and 2.36GHz at five more A725, plus a pair of Cortex-A520 cores at 1.8GHz. You can see detailed breakdown in the table below, plus comparison with older exemy 2400 and dementia 9400 (non-plus).

GPU The fourth pay-generation of AMD-based graphics, an exclipses is 950. This is based on RDNA3 (as on the previous chipset) and supports hardware-axillated ray tracing. While it is based on the same architecture, XCLIPSE is a large GPU with 950 work group processors (WGP) and 8 render backends (RB, RBPS). For comparison, the Exynos 2400 GPU had 6 work group processors and 4 render backends. This ray tracing-enabled games should deliver 28% high FPS.
The latest chipset also brings significant speedup to the NPU – AI functions can take advantage of up to 59 tops, which exceeds 39% more than 2400. More features should be enabled to work on this device. In terms of hardware, Samsung designed with old chip 17K Mac, with two 12K Mac clusters (for a total of 24K Mac).
Samsung also enhanced Camera Mera Hardware-Excinos supports AI-based image processing for sensors up to 2500 320MP. Photos can be shot with multi-layer noise reduction and dynamic range compression (DRC). The video block can record up to an 8K resolution up to 30 fps. Video playback goes up to 8K 60FPS and VAV1 decoding features.
The key upgrade in the built-in exnos modem is support for non-positive network (NTN) capabilities-opens the door for satellite-based messaging. The 5G modem supports the latest 3GPP rel. Provides up to 9.6 Gbps speed for 17 and FR1 and 12.1 Gbps for FR2. Local connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Samsung also says that it has improved the analog GNSS interface (for global conditions).
Official Exynos reads 2500 pages “Product Status: Mass Product”. Samsung should have enough units for the new Galaxy Z Flip 7. Cheap Z Flip 7 Fe can use the old Exynos 2400.
