A few days ago, Sony stopped selling Xperia 1 VII in Japan when it examines some very serious issues – there have been reports of rebooting units, disruptive and refusing to turn on.
Now the Sony UK has an update on this. The company says it is still investigating the cause of all these issues, and is working on the settlement of the affected people. In European markets, it is currently in the process of “identifying the extent of the affected stock, as this issue can only affect the selection of Xperia 1 VII devices”.
The page attached as the source will be updated with more information and guidance that Sony immediately has more details on how to support its European customers. In the meantime, the company recommends backing up any important data on your expensive new Xperia 1 VII, so that the device starts to work if it is not lost.
Sony also mentioned the work of pressing and holding the power button and volume up button simultaneously for about 20 seconds, which can also raise the phone with sleep. The company advises you that you have the latest Software Ftware update installed, however, as the last time we said, if it is still investigating the cause of these issues (s), it is not likely to really help. However, it does not hurt to try, when we all wait for a larger corporation what has gone wrong in its latest flagship device (or just a certain batch).
Thanks for the tip, Josip!
