Huawei today organized a program to display its latest Werable. At the same time we saw a new tablet announcement and international release of another set of TWS earbuds.
The tablet is called Matapad Pro 12.2 and is a natural evolution from the 2024 version that began last summer. It has a paper display that has a ts and nundam oled panel below, but it retains the same 508G body, 10,100 mAh battery and 100W wire charging.
Earbuds are freeboods 6, available in China since March 2025. They offer AI sound canceled and redesigned Audio Dio driver for clear output.
As the name suggests, the Matpad Pro has a 12.2 “screen. It has a resolution of 2,800 x 1840 pixels and upgrades 3,000 Knit Peak Brightness. Thanks to the display technology for the paper, the tablet significantly reduces the glare and reflection.
When you have to take a group photo with a 12 inch slate, the tablet still has a dual camera setup on the back, with 50 MPs main snapers and 8MP ultravide cameras.
Huawei usually doesn’t talk about her chipsets, so we can only assume that she runs on the platform of Kirin 9000 – we have nothing official. The tablet comes with EMUI in the international market, but interestingly, it is not available in China, so we do not know if it runs Huawei’s self-developed harmonos forward.

The unique waterdrop-shaped (they call it a dot) in freebuds 6 is a stem, which is 12% smaller and 9% lighter than the predecessor. Huawei is now using AI to reduce multi-channel noise, and can filter an unwanted noise up to 95 dB.
The company announced the first implemented feature in the Freeboods Pro 4 – the ability to make a clear Call Like in a voice environment, loud concert or sports game. Freebuds 6 has an AI agent in China, disabled in international units.
