The Huawei’s Matt X6 folding smartphone began in November, and the company is already working on its successor, which we believe will be called Met X7. Some of the details about what we can expect today have been leaked in China, so let’s take a look.
The Met X7 has a alleged 7.95-inch LTPO Oled Interior Folding Screen, with “2K” resolution and ultra-thin glass on top. It will come with a high rating for water resistance (though not a certain one mention), and overall it will be another ultra-thin-style foldable device.

For the main camera, Huawei is currently testing two solutions, using a 50 MP 1/1.56-inch type sensor, the other 50 MPs using a 1/1.3-inch type sensor, with both physical variable hole. There will also be 50 MPs Periscope Telefoto with macro capabilities and multi-spectral cameras. Of course, there should also be ultravide, but it is not detailed in today’s rumor.
So the companion X7 looks like a good upgrade compared to its predecessor for sure. It is exactly what it will be made official, but we assume that we are a few months away this time. We will tell you when we know more about it.
