When it comes to foldables, Huawei is challenging general thinking. We already oohed and aahed on the triple-folding Mat XT Ultimate, now look closely at what we can turn into a new category of foldable.
Huawei Pura X flip falls somewhere between foldables and book-style foldables and comes with a 90 ° twist there. When closed, the X is close to the size of the typical flip foldable, the pocket 2 or the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is not higher than the choice.

Well, it’s a little larger than the galaxy. However, it is still small that it does not seem too chicken even though it has a thickness of 15.1 mm. This type of thickness is okay on the flip, not on the book foldable.

Now for the main benefit of Pura X – there is a beautiful standard 16:10 aspect ratio in the interior exhibition. Its .3..3 “diagonal is misleading – full screen 6.7” Galaxy Z Flip has a 13% surface area than the flip 6 display and is more useful as Samsung used a huge 22: 9 screens.
16:10 Great for videos, YouTube and most TV shows will only play with a little letterboxing, so you get a much larger video frame than your typical flip foldable. Portrait orientation is also the best for documents and web pages in 16:10 – TALL Witch and Thin displays are not always the best for text.
How did Huawei pull this? We have mentioned with a 90 ° turn. If you hold off the closed full X with the Camera Mera Array above the cover screen (this is the portrait orientation when closed), the phone opens on the side like a foldable.
But once you open it, you have to turn it 90 turn because the UI is intended to use in the portrait instead of the landscape – the homescreen also does not have landscape mode. Yes, you can use the phone in the landscape when using Camera mera or gaming, but it is mostly a portrait device similar to the flip foldable. That is why it is branded “Pura” instead of “Saath X”.
You can also keep the phone off from the camera to the side – this is a bit difficult for the grip but it makes it easier using the camera UI. Huawei Pura X is a great selfie and V LOG logging device.
Let’s say a quick overview of the camera. There is a 50MP module with the main OIS, there is also a 40MP ultra-wide (13 mm) and an 8MP telephoto with 3.5x zoom (80 mm). If you need a camera when you open the phone, there is a 10.7MP punch-hold module inside.

And check out this Camera Mera Bump – it’s much smaller than most phones in the market. Keep in mind that the phone measures 7.2 mm thick when opened, so even though the full X is closed in camera modules, there is no more space than the typical phone.
We have to talk about screens. Starting with a cover display, it is 3.5 “square with 980 x 980px resolution. This is a 120 Hz LTPO panel with 10-bit colors, so it’s a great quality display. And it is big enough for simple tasks-reading, navigation, navigation.

Huawei was forced to do her own, so the Kirin is 9020 chipset, which is fast enough for daily use but there is no match for Qualcomm and MediaTek’s flagship chips. Harmonios will be a big issue for a global audience because it is decopped from Android and Google Play Services – this version of Harmonios is more than usual because it hinders the APK install (global versions of OS). He said that Huawei did not announce plans for the global rollout of Pura X and Harmonios works easily with all Chinese applications and services. We want the full X to join the roster of Huawei devices available globally, however, it is such an innovative design.
Interestingly about the whole X is that Huawei has not developed a new technology or exists in fully as it is for a fellow XT ultimate – as far as we can say, this is a very standard foldable hardware.
However, outside the outside of the Huawei has created a design that is almost small to fold the flip when offering larger, more useful interior display. It is too early to say whether the Huawei Pura X will be successful in the market, but we have to appreciate the company to create something new (and not the first time).
