According to a recent report by the International Data Company (IDC), global tablet shipments increased 13% during the April-June (Q2) period, reaching 38.3 million units. The rising shipment was mostly operated by a replacement cycle, new device launch and state subsidy in China. Some brands also collected inventory in anticipation of tariffs, which also played a key role in increasing shipments.
Apple Pall led the Global Tablet Market in Q2 with 12.7 million shipments and 33% market share. Cupertino’s base iPad (2025) was the main driver of the brand, with a total of 2.4% year-year growth in total shipment.
Samsung came second with 7.2 million shipments and 18.7% market share for this period. The Galaxy Tab B Series proved to be popular in Latin America, the Middle East and Europe.
