The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra says “one of Samsung’s most repair-friendly phone,” the iPixit phone says after separating the phone and exploring the available repair options. Nevertheless, the phone only got a 5-10 repairability score (Provisional) – it is better than most Samsung flagships in the latest memory, but still leaves a lot to be desired.
The favorite part of the IFixit is the battery – four sticky ts are around the battery and hold it in place. It peels and batteries come out immediately. No need for heat, isopropyl alcohol or elbow grease.
He said, “Some things can’t even work.” Samsung turned this Pay Generation on a flat display and is considered easier to remove it. And yet removing the S2 Ultra display proved to be quite a struggle for an experienced user. The good news is that there is nothing under the display, really. The only reason is to remove it if it is already broken.
There are more – most cameras are modular and easy to replace. The rear four modules are kept by a screw and can be rotated easily if necessary. The selfie camera, however, is epoxy in place. It is not impossible to remove it, but again, the experienced Ephics team found it challenging – regular people at home are trying to get it out.
The situation of the S pen is a real head-script. You may have heard that the Galaxy S22 Ultra has a motivational charger that sends power to Bluetooth-enabled stylus in previous pay-generations. Well, the Ephixit took the S Pen and found that it was very similar to the previous pay -generations.
PCB is still, but not all chips are designed to operate Bluetooth works. Also, the capacitor who has provided power when the stylus was out of the phone. That means the PCB is completely unnecessary and it is there.
In summary, the new sticky t S is great for the battery. (Mostly) modular cameras also bumped the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s repairability score. However, screen replacement is still a pain. Samsung also needs to amend its repair documents, says IFIXIT, and sell replacement parts in person instead of bundles.
