Ever want your smartphone to smell its own, very distinctive smell? Well, Infinix thinks you have, and so it will respond to the next note of your prayer with 50S5G+, which is set to launch in India on April 18.
This phone will come with “aroma-tech”. Basically, it is a way for the device to release the aroma from its back panel. Using microSoncapsulation technology that traps aroma molecules in microscopic capsules, it is definitely a unique feature (don’t call it a gimic).
The capsules are poured into the back of the fake leather of the phone, and they slowly release the light, giving a refreshing aroma over time. The aroma will be subtle and should last for about six months, though its intensity and duration will use the phone and will change depending on the surrounding conditions such as temperature and humidity.
Infinix India’s CEO Anish Kapoor is what he said is here (the same way his hand holds the Note 50s 5G+, by the way):
We try to innovate. One such innovation is this enthusiastic aroma-technique. It is like you have a good -looking phone and it smells well. There is a lot of technology behind it. We all want to smell good. We want to be in the environment. If we have something that smells good in our hands, why not.
While the handset will be offered in three colorways, only the Marine Drift Blue version will be aromatic-infused. Infinix India CEO suggests that the Note 50S5G+ will cost 20,000.
