The very first Samsung Galaxy phone was announced 15 years ago – since then the smartphone has changed a lot in photography.
It was a 5MP camera on the original S-phone that could record a 720p video. The latest Galaxy S 25 Ultra has a 200MP camera and can record 8K video – it’s 4320p! In another way, the resolution for stable images has increased by 40X, while the number of pixels in video recording is 36x.
It is just the main camera – the biggest change since 2010 is the increasing number of cameras. The S 25 Ultra is four on its back, including a new 50MP ultra-wide, 50MP5X/111 mm periscope and 10 mp3x/67mm mid-range telephoto.
