Back in 2022, Oppo entered a strategic partnership with the legendary imaging brand Hesselblad. The pair has been collaborating on all the flagship phones of Oppo, and both parties are now extending the partnership and declaring that they are developing the upcoming Pay Generation Imaging System for Oppo’s upcoming flagship phones.

When Oppo did not share any specific details about the upcoming imaging system, the brand is confident that it will “set a new benchmark for the quality of mobile imaging”.
The partnership with Hesselblad is created on the commitment to deliver a shared passion and final imaging experience for innovation.
Over the past four years, we have brought the true professional, legendary camera experience of Haselblad for Oppo’s global users.
With the expansion of our collaboration, we will also forward the boundaries of mobile imaging. – Pete Lau, Chief Product Officer at Oppo.
The imaging partnership of the Oppo and Hesselbalad belongs to the Oppo Find X5 series. Oppo’s flagship phones feature many cameras enhancements, including Hesselblad color science and Hesselblad portrait mode, which imitates the classic Hesselblad lens.
Oppo also added a professional Hesselblad master mode, which inspires the brand’s flagship mirrorless medium format camera – Hesselblad X2D. Oppo flagships have also benefited from the Haselblad Xen mode, which reproduces the signature 65:24 wide aspect ratio for images.
