Oppo quietly launched A5I and A5I Pro, though they are not a complete novel design. Both are based on Snapdragon 6S4G Jan 1, which is the rebrand of Snapdragon 662. The same chip was used in the Oppo A5 Pro 4G, sharing many similarities with these two new models.

Both A5 Eye Phones have 6.67 “LCD displays with HD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. They can reach 1000 nets of luminosity. Outdoor visibility is also helped by anti-glgle coating.

The front and back are protected by china southern glass and panda glass. Oppo lists both as “twice reinforced” and the phone has been tested MIL -STD -810H and received a certificate from SGS.

However, the English Protection on A5I is very basic with the IP54 rating. The Pro Model is a little better on the IP65. Both phones support a wet touch.

The A5 i i i5,100 mAh battery is powered, promising to maintain at least 80% of its capacity after four years of use. The phone supports 45W fast charging.

If you want more interest, Pro has a 6,000 mAh C/C battery (still with 45W charging). Large battery makes Pro a little ga ER and heavy, but not by much – it is 7.68 mm/186g for vanilla and 7.99 mm/193g for Pro.

Differences between vanilla and pro models continue. The rear in the vanilla model is a very basic 8MP main camera, the 5MP module in the front. Both are limited to 1080p @ 30fps video recording.

Oppo A5 I Pro 50 is stands with a wide hole (f/1.85 vs f/2.0) with 50MP rear camera, but the front module is still only 5MP camera. There is a secondary module on the back and its function is not listed, so we are assuming a depther sensor.

While both phones are powered by Snapdragon 6S4G Jan 1-Cortex-A73 and A53 CPU Coro plus Adreno will have a small influence between the old 11NM design-design with 610 GPU. The Pro model has 8 GB LPDDR 4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. The vanilla model has low RAM, 4/6 GB of LPDDR4X, and 64/128 GB slow EMMC 5.1 storage.

As the chipset name indicates, it only supports 4G LTE networking. Local connections are controlled with Bluetooth with dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (AC) and APTX. The vanilla model also has a mm.mmmmo headphone jack, not pro, but has NFC and IR blaster. Finally, both phones have a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

The Oppo A5I Pro is available in the Philippines – right now, it is specially sold by a shop, but will also be available from Oppo’s TickTock Shop and Lazada, starting from June 20. Pro costs PHP 9,000, which turns 160/€ 140/₹ 14,000.

We have not yet received the Oppo A5I in stores. The A5I Starie comes in purple and nebula raid, the A5I Pro comes in purple at midnight.
