Redmagic Astra is a small gaming tablet – with its 9.06 “display, it is more portable than most tablets these days and though it packs a flagship chip and fast LTPO OLED panel.
First, let’s introduce the hardware. Astra has a 9.06 “LTPO display with 165 Hz refresh rate and 2,400 x 1,504px resolution. It is powered by Snapdragon 8 Allight – overclocked AC variant with two prime CPU cores on 4.47 GHz and GPU.

Our unit has 16GB of RAM and 512 GB storage, though the tablet is available in various configurations between 12GB to 24 GB RAM and 256 GB and 1 TB storage. And we should mention that there is an active-cooled fan and liquid metal with the best heat conductivity. However, we will leave continuous display tests for a later date.
Beginning with Geekbench 6, the Redmagic Astra loses in single and multi-core exhibitions in the second Snapdragon 8 Eleit Slate, OnePlus Pad 3. It will defeat the previous Redmagic model, Nova Tablet (Snapdragon 8 General 3), 16% and 13% in single and multi-core tests, respectively.
Since this is a gaming tablet, the graphics test is probably the most important. Here the Redmagic Astra essentially matches the OnePlus Pad 3. Compared to less powerful slates with Snapdragon 8S General 3, Astra got double points. And keep in mind that this test runs on fixed resolution (2160p), so there is no excuse for high resolution displays in others (and their display is really high resolution, as it is larger).
Astra ends things with victory in Antutu. Its score is 17% above OnePlus and 22% higher than Nova. This score is close to you with a Snapdragon 8S General 3 powered tablet.
It has some competitive results, considering that the Redmagic Astra is fairly affordable with prices starting at $ 470/€ 470/£ 410.
We have not yet tested that the fan still has a complimentary effect on the benchmark results.
