Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 8S General 4 chipset in April, and has been used as an upper-midrange option so far in seven smartphones.
China’s new rumor today claims that Qualcomm will be more diverse in its SOC series, as it is getting ready to offer Snapdragon 8S General 4 “Pro” or “Plus” version.
When the source of the leak does not say it, we assume that this means a high -color box of chip, possibly with some overclocked cores. This results in some “turbo” influence compared to this non-project version, but it remains to be seen how much we really see.
It is not clear when this chip will be official, but Qualcomm is organizing its annual Snapdragon Summit later this month, so we assume that when it is announced. At that event, we also expect to see Snapdragon 8 General 5 and Snapdragon 8 Elite General 5.
