Samsung is all set to unveil the Galaxy S25 series in two weeks. Among the most anticipated models is the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which features rounded corners and a built-in S Pen. However, recent information suggests that the stylus may be losing some of its unique features.
Leakster Ishan Aggarwal, speaking to Retail Insiders, revealed that Samsung will drop Bluetooth functionality from the S Pen, which means features like gestures and remote control will no longer be available.
Currently, a single press on the S Pen takes a photo; A double press switches between the front and rear cameras, and swipe gestures change photo modes.
The feature collection is named Air Actions, which lets you wave the stylus like a magic wand to perform functions like Back, Home, Recent, and Smart Select. This functionality is available on all flagship tablets from Tab S7 to Tab S10, Note series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and all Galaxy S flagships released since 2021.

Eliminating the remote control features seems like a step backwards, potentially discouraging some Samsung Galaxy Ultra users from upgrading to the S25 series.
Naturally, Samsung has more data on how often these features are used. We can also see the Korean company justifying this move by pointing to the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s new design with rounded corners, which accommodates a slightly smaller stylus that fits inside the device.
