Samsung unveiled only the Galaxy S22 Edge a few hours ago, and we already have a rumor about its successor, because obviously there would be definitely one. According to Korean sources, the Galaxy S26 will start with the Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
If you see what is missing, you are not wrong. The rumor says that Samsung is currently planning to leave the Galaxy S26+, as the model has now been the worst seller in its flagship line for a few years.
So, if this is done, then the Galaxy S26 Edge will basically replace the Galaxy S26+ in the company’s roster. If this looks familiar, it is because the Apple Pal is also rumored to replace its own iPhone Plus model with an iPhone 17 air, like the banks on the Galaxy Age, as a unique sales point.
All of them said, keep in mind that this is a very early rumor, as Samsung has only started developing the S26 family. Therefore, things can still change, and with the words of rumor, the company has not yet made a full decision on what to do, but is seriously considering giving the S26+ ax in favor of the S26 Edge. Hopefully the edge of the second pay generation will use SI/C battery tech to be able to pack more in MAH.
To only realize how badly you are doing S 25+, Samsung’s current objective is to sell 37.7 million units of Galaxy S22, S 25+, and S2 Ultra this year. Out of that, Ultra produces 17.4 million units, ‘Vanilla’ S 25 13.6 million units and S 25+ only 6.7 million units.
