Last month, we heard that the Samsung Galaxy A17 will feature OPT pattal image stabilization (OIS) for its main camera, which will be the first for the A1X series. But after Samsung spent money on Camera Mera, it seems that the chipset was not sufficient for upgrade – the Galaxy A 17 5G has surfaced on the geekbench with the same chip as its predecessor.

The Exynos 1330 (S5E8535) was previously used at the Galaxy A14 5G and Galaxy A165G. The two cortex-A78 cores @ 2.4GHz and six cortex-A55 cores are at 2.0GHz, plus Mali-G 68 MP2 GPU.

Chipset supports LPDDR4X and LPDDR5 Reme. 6GB of this special unit (we don’t know what kind), but we suspect this is one of the many options – e.g. A16 5G has 4GB, 6GB and 8GB configurations. Chip works with UFS 2.2 and UFS 3.1 storage.

Also, it can handle 1080p+ displays up to 120 Hz, though the previous A1X models have only gone up to 90 Hz.

Something disappointingly, Geekbanch reported the Android 15 – this means a UI 7. Keep in mind that the Galaxy A17 5G (and 4G model, if there is one) will probably be announced to the end of the year when many galaxies will already run one UI 8.
