The Samsung Galaxy A56 is coming soon with a new design for its camera island, upgraded selfie camera, Exynos 1580 SoC and support for 45W wired charging (a first for the Galaxy A series, believe it or not).
The phone’s journey towards launch has now completed an additional necessary step: certification for sale in China by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Apparently a Chinese-bound version got the nod, and this has the model number SM-A5660.

The certification states that the phone will have a 4,905 mAh rated battery. Note that smartphone manufacturers advertise Typical Capacity, not rated and typical capacity is higher. So expect this to be around 5,000-5,100 mAh.
The A56 surprisingly supports 5G, GPS, dual-SIM and will run Android 15 out of the box, with One UI 7 on top. This means that this point is still at least a month away, as the latest iteration of Samsung’s skin will make its debut on the Galaxy S25 family which is going official later this month.
