Samsung’s most demanding midranger, Samsung Galaxy A56, is here, and many of you are amazed at how much better it is compared to its predecessor, Samsung Galaxy A55. Finally, Samsung’s Extensive Software Fatware Support makes the older models a sensible solution for many. However, if you are reading this from the US, you have no choice but to get the Galaxy A56 because the A55 was never available in the lake.

The difference between the two is about € 100, but in reality, third-party stores have already reduced the A56 price premium in the EU, only 20-30 d.

In the UK, the A56 is only available in 256 GB tires, while the A55 is only available as a 128GB model. What is more, Samsung has better control over A56 retail prices so that the price difference between the old and the new model is £ 140. No model is available in us.

So with variations in prices, it is surprising whether the new device is valuable for the premium. Let’s now dive just out of the specs sheets.

Table of contents:

For beginners, you can compare the full specs sheets or continue directly with the assessment of our editor In the following text.

Size comparison

There are no major design changes, but one can argue that the Galaxy A56 is more pure. For example, compared to a 6.6-inch panel at A55, the device’s 6.7-inch display is slightly larger, but it comes in almost the same dimensions. It is only a millimeter ler, but significantly lighter.

In addition, unlike standard glass on A56 A55, upgraded gorilla glass develops+ back glass. Other than that, you will not find the difference between A56 and A55.

Comparison

In addition to the clear size difference, the new Galaxy A56 has a slightly bright display. A56 on top 1,200 NIT In our tests, when the A55 rarely ended 1,000 Nit.

Clearly, this is not a big difference, as both phones should provide goodness of good sunlight even in bright sunny days.

There is no feature difference in both displays as it supports both HDR 10+ and 120 Hz refresh rates.

B Battery Terry Life

Surprisingly, the Galaxy provides 55 overall battery life, though the Galaxy A56 has 56 more Energy-efficient chipset. Galaxy A55 got more 13: 27 h active use score Our ownership tests with new A Call l, video playback and garing runtimes longer than 56.

On the contrary, the Galaxy A56 assumed the A55 in a web browsing test by a small margin. Overall, the A55 seems to have a better battery life.

Preaching

None of the two are particularly fast when it comes to charging, but the Galaxy A56 now supports 45 W fast charging, while the A55 is closed at 25 W. No phone is with a charger, but for A56, you will also have to get 5 ampy cables if you are the fastest charging possible, as one of the B BOX cows is rated only 3 amp.

The difference in charging motion is marginal. According to our tests, the charging cycle takes charge of the A56 rapidly, which reaches the perceptage shortage percentage at a mark of 15 and 30 minutes, but it takes 10 minutes to reach 100%.

Arguably, the charging curve of the A56 is more practical because you don’t have to charge the phone up to 100% when you are in a hurry.

Chair

When it comes to loud, the Galaxy A55 speakers are modest loud, though they get the “very good” score against the “good” score of the A56.

However, the tuning is different. The Galaxy A56 produces a potential low deformity in warm, ER pallet sound and high volume with more leading bass, while providing 55 cleaner singers but crisp sounds.

Operation

The new Galaxy A56 runs on the recent Exynos 1580 chipset, which is more powerful than the ex -1480 running the A55.

Both handsets provide the same memory configuration, but the A56 UFS 2.1 upgrades storage from 2.1 to UFS 3.1. So if you go for A56 you will get a little faster storage.

Benchmar

Raw benchmark results show significant performance benefits with the Galaxy A56 this year. The Exynos 1580 leads the Exynos 1480 to 16% in a pure CPU view and more than 30% in the GPU-intensive 3-dimerk benchmark. Combined testing shows an increase in a 25% performance.

It is quite clear that if you are for display, with no doubt, A56 should be your first choice.

Camera comparison

The Galaxy depends on the same camera hardware in the A56 and A55 rear. They have a 50MP main shooter joined by 12MP ultravide camera and dedicated 5MP macro snaper.

Speaking of selfies, despite the low resolution of the A55’s 32MP sensors, the A56 receives a new, better 12MP sensor.

Below we have some samples taken in the same places by two phones but at different times.

The quality of the image

Given the stability from the primary camera, it is safe to say that there is virtually no difference in the overall quality. Randition is also very similar and we could not find the meaningful difference in daylight and at night views.

The only difference we could find is in exposure. The A55 comes in more balanced contact with the more natural looking shadows at night, while the highlights of the A56 are a little brighter during the day as well as the shadows in the pictures at night.

2x zoom photos are very similar again, but the A56 pulls forward with a cleaner and sharp -looking stable during the day. However at night the quality is very similar.

Judgment

As you can see, at least, the upgrade above the A55 of the Galaxy A56 is normal. Therefore, it is not surprising that people find it difficult to save a few bucks and get old A55 instead, or just to go for the latest and great.

For the Price Premium of the Galaxy A56, you will find a little more refined design, better chipset, modest faster charging, better tuning speakers, Better Selfies, Low-Light Video and two additional years Software Fatware Support (6 vs 4 main OS updates).

On the other hand, last year’s Galaxy provides 55, approximately the same camera experience, long battery life, and has a microSD card slot.

So if you live in the market where the difference between the two is small (like the EU), it makes all sense to go for a new model. However, if you already have a Galaxy A55 or a major gap between the two models in your market, we suggest that you stick with the A55 or wait a bit more until the A56 prices inevitably come down.
